Privacy Statement

At Databalance, we process personal data in order to deliver our products and services, make improvements, provide support, and send notifications, offers and promotional material. Some data is also processed when you visit our site.

Respect for your privacy is of course central to the way we handle data. On this page we provide full details of the data we collect, why we collect it, what options, and rights you have as an end user, and how we protect your data.

What data do we collect?

In order to fulfil our contract with you, or to make our operations possible, we collect the following data:

  • • Your first name, surname and business address
  • • The e-mail address that you use for contact with us.
  • o If you subscribe to our newsletter, we won’t use your e-mail address for any purpose other than sending the newsletter.
  • If you unsubscribe, your e-mail address will be removed from our distribution list.
  • • The phone number that you use for contact with us.
  • The IP address of the device that you use to visit our sites or to log in to systems and applications running on our infrastructure.
  • Your login details and client number (for administration).
  • The payment data you provide, in order to pay for our services.

We share collected data with third parties only if they are legally entitled to the data, or if we have a cooperation agreement with them. Third parties we share data with include the tax authority, a debt collection agency and service providers whose services you access through us.

We keep the personal data we collect only for as long as strictly necessary for the purpose of the data processing, or for as long as the law requires us to keep it.

How do we keep personal data secure?

When we process collected data, we ensure that all personally identifiable information is appropriately secured. For example, we use TLS encryption whenever data is sent over the internet, we limit how much access our people have to data, we ensure that our systems and applications are configured as securely as possible, and we regularly update our systems.

We are ISO and NEN certified, and we are always working to make our information security arrangements even better.

Questions, comments and your rights

If you want to know what data we have about you, if you want that data corrected or deleted, or if you believe that we shouldn’t be collecting certain data, please let us know. We’ll respond within a month.

If you find that we have incorrect, incomplete or irrelevant data about you? You can ask us to amend the data we have, or add something to it. Requests should be sent to info@databalance.eu.

Analytical cookies

We use analytical cookies to improve our understanding of how visitors to our site behave.

_ga 2 years This cookie is set by Google Analytics. It’s used to calculate data on visitors, sessions and campaigns and to monitor site usage for site analysis reporting. The information recorded is in anonymous form, with each unique visitor identified only by a randomly generated number.
_gid 1 day This cookie is set by Google Analytics. It’s used to record information about how visitors use the website and supports the reporting of site performance analyses. The collected data, including visitor numbers, visitor origins and pages visited, is recorded in anonymous form.

 

As you can see, we use the Google Search Console to analyse which pages are visited most, how visitors reach our site, and what search terms people use to find us.

To provide assurance regarding the use of Google services, we have a Data Processing Agreement with Google. It’s the standard agreement that Google offers to end users.
