Stepping stone to the cloud

Every organisation's transition to the cloud is unique. Transition is not a push-button process, but a journey through a landscape characterised by multiple scenarios, applications and systems. It's therefore important to consider different pathways and identify the transition route best suited to your organisation, its ambitions and its goals. Sometimes, a co-location-plus-cloud solution can serve as a good stepping stone to a fully cloud-based set-up.

Proprietary data centres with co-location support

Databalance delivers managed cloud solutions from its own data centres. Alongside our own hardware, we have set up a number of co-location berths at our high-grade data bunkers in Nieuwkuijk and Waalwijk. Enabling us to offer various transition pathways to the cloud.

Hybrid cloud solutions

Having our own co-location capacity means we can combine private and public cloud services with co-located systems. Or use co-location as a starting point for full transition to the public or private cloud. That can be a financially attractive option if your own servers have a residual book value. After all, neither transition to the cloud nor co-location is itself the objective. Rather, cloud and co-located services are building blocks, from which to create an IT environment tailored to your organisation, business context and opportunities.

Certificated co-location

Our Nieuwkuijk and Waalwijk data centres have direct connections to the key global carriers. Plus fire suppression systems, twin power supplies, emergency power supplies and systems for fully automated failover in the event of a power outage. As well as all the facilities that a modern data centre requires, our premises have robust access control arrangements. We are also certified to the ISO27001, ISO9001 and NEN7510 standards, and we have an ISAE3402 report. So, if you opt to combine your managed cloud solution with co-location, you can be sure of high-level information security and quality management.

At home in the old and new worlds

Many years of experience mean we have a wealth of knowledge regarding both legacy systems and managed cloud solutions. So we can help you make a phased transition to the cloud from any legacy system. We work on the basis of clear governance at all levels to provide a framework for knowledge-sharing, collaboration and the migration of systems to the cloud following a jointly developed roadmap.
